2011 has been another incredible year for DJ, Producer and Radio Host Miss Kelly Marie. The past year has been a blazing mix of countries, continents, festivals and gigs, underlining the demand for one of the UK’s most successful female DJs.
The sound of Miss Kelly Marie is sketched into the history of UK House and Garage, appearing on DJ line- ups, radio shows and flyers across two decades. It comes from a place where music was more than an obsession and where DJing is more than just simply playing music. Kelly’s passion for music goes a long way back, with her parents heavily influencing her on an upbringing of Funk, Disco and 80s Soul, laying down the foundations of a DJ that was one day going to make waves on the dance music scene - and make waves she did.
Kelly’s DJing credentials has seen her grace the decks around the world, raising the bar on what the definition of a DJ is. In her 15 years of spinning tracks, Kelly’s three year residency with global brand Hed Kandi sits alongside that of Floridita London, Trade at Turnmills and her weekly Stereo Sushi Radio Show on MOS Radio. Not to mention the untold festivals, including Baltic Soul Weekender (2008-2011), Creamfields and the Notting Hill Carnival, plus the portfolio of weekly gigs around the world that captivate crowds, creating a dedicated base of fans who love their music served by a DJ who knows how to serve it.
Following five extremely successful tours of Brazil, residencies in Italy, Dubai, Australia and America and a full summer-long headline slot for Hed Kandi in Ibiza’s famous El Divino, the Miss Kelly Marie brand is global and rightly so, shows no sign of slowing down. The MKM sound is unique, distinctive, celebrated and renowned, built on a genuine love for house music which organically saw Kelly gorw into a purveyor of sounds ranging from Chill-out Lounge and Latin Beats to Nu Skool Disco, Garage and Funk.
Miss Kelly Marie is not simply an international DJ, acclaimed radio host and vibrant performer. She is also an accomplished producer and corporate ambassador for brands and corporate events such as Mini Cooper, Nike, Cartier, Sony, Ford, Swarovski, Smirnoff Ice, Red Bull and most notably, personally booked for Richard Branson’s Virgin Staff Parties in Australia. Her dedication to music as a whole has witnessed Miss Kelly Marie’s presence at both ADE and Miami’s WMC where she played alongside Barbara Tucker, Michelle Weeks and Joyce Simms for the prestigious ‘Let the Singer Be Heard’.
